It contains:.Archery SubredditsRelated subredditsAdditions to the above tables welcome. I own the GMX and have done some research on this topic. The first thing is that the GMX shares its geometry with the prodigy RX, as well as the older formula RX. The prodigy and the XT variant share a more aggressive (faster arrow speed) and supposedly less forgiving geometry with the formula HPX, Ion-X, and GPX.The main difference between the GMX and the Prodigy RX is the formula limb pockets, the vertitune clicker plates that allow three different height settings for your plunger relative to your shelf, and the limb torsional adjustments added to the existing hard lock limb adjustment system. These additions, aside from the limb pockets, are all for advanced tuning and would be useful once you have achieved a high level of personal proficiency. The GMX is a fantastic riser. It has been used by many successful archers throughout the years.
The prodigy RX is also a very winning riser. Although to attribute any level of an archers success to a single piece of equipment is somewhat short sighted.
Neither one will hold you back in your journey to being better, but neither one will be a silver bullet that makes you an amazing archer. I have seen plenty of prodigy's put up mediocre scores. My opinion is to get the riser you can afford, that you like the most and that will make you want to shoot the most. It's mostly marketing hype anyway. I would only recommend that you stick with the RX geometry (GMX, Formula RX, Prodigy RX) as I have heard most people prefer it.Happy shooting. If the Prodigy and the GMX use the same geometry why is it that people buy the prodigy? Really the only reason I see in buying the prodigy is because of tuning. The new system is supposed to align your limbs in the center of the riser better.Saying that if you get a chance when pulling a Formula bow back, check your sight window where you are looking through the bow.
You should see this is smaller than a ILF bow. Does this bother you is a good question? It is hard to describe forgiveness for me, but the best way to think of it is that if you make a bad shot you will know it. It comes down to how the riser is designed and how heavy it is. I am no expert on this and I will not give you bad information. Better question for someone else, I cannot describe it as well as I want.As for just practice and not competition, Not having ILF can be a big deal also, the most inexpensive hoyt formula limb in my area is the Hoyt Formula Excel at $270 USD, while for ILF the W&W SF Premium Plus for $120 USD does the job for growing into.
(Note: there is also the W&W Sebastian Flute Axiom Plus for $90 USD, which is also good);-;.
